Charles "Chuck" Anderson
Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer
District Council 30 (Illinois)

Chuck Anderson graduated from high school in Aurora, Illinois in 1971 and shortly thereafter chose to go work in his uncle's small company in 1973 as an International Union of Painters and Allied Trades apprentice.

Mr. Anderson's dedication to his trade of painting was matched only by his enthusiasm for his union. Both qualities were recognized in 1976 when he was elected to recording secretary for Local 448, a position in which he served until the year 2000.

In 1984, he was elected business agent for District Council 30. He continued his tradition of hard work for the union and was rewarded with being elected business manager/secretary-treasurer (BMST) of the district council in 1993.

One year prior to his election for BM/ST, Mr. Anderson's dedication to the IUPAT apprenticeship program earned him an appointment by the general president to serve as a trustee for the Joint Apprenticeship Training Fund.

Mr. Anderson continues to serve in both positions today.
