JATF Trustee Allan DeLange is a vice president with Manta Industrial, Inc., of Chicago, Illinois, responsible for protective coatings operations in the Midwest. His current post is in the Hammond, Indiana office.

Mr. DeLange earned the first of his college degrees in 1969, majoring in both mathematics and physics at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. Five years later, he received his master's degree in mathematics from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

From 1970 to 1975, Mr. DeLange served as a high school teacher at Illianan Christian High School in Lansing, Illinois. He taught physics, architectural and mechanical drawing and mathematics.

In 1975, Mr. DeLange began his career with J.L. Manta (now Manta Industrial, Inc.) in Chicago as a painting contractor performing engineering duties and estimates. His first successful bid proposal was the field painting of Launch Pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center as a part of the modification of the facility from the Saturn program to the Space Shuttle program. In the span of nearly thirty years, he held such positions as project manager, division manager and, in 1983, vice president of operations. In 1986, he crowned his educational credentials with an MBA from the University of Chicago.
