Who can do Apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships with the IUPAT are open to anyone living in North America. Entry requirements are flexible because apprenticeships aren't just based on academic achievement. Practical skills count and employers value an eagerness to work and learn!
Just like a job interview
Depending on the you type of apprenticeship choose, you may have to go through one or more interviews, fill in forms, and even take some tests. If that wasn’t challenging enough, this whole process can be carried out both by the employer and Director of Training.
Just like any other job interview, you’ll have to present yourself well, ‘sell’ yourself and convince them that you’re serious. If they think you’re suitable, the employer will offer to take you on.
How To Apply
Call the International Apprenticeship office at 1-800-276-7289 and ask for more details about the areas of work you are interested in. You will be sent some information about our programs and, within a few weeks, a local director of training will be in touch to set up a meeting with you to discuss our training program and possible job opportunities already available in your area.
Or, complete our online form in the section called ‘
Sign Me Up!’ We’ll then send you some information and put you in touch with the director of training in your area.
